New Home for Rosie Hart!

It’s been way too long and sadly while I don’t have a late note, there are valid reasons. I don’t want to load you down but I’m sure you clever people will read between the lines when I say to cherish your health – and your family – every single day because you just never know, right?

So, moving on and moving up – that was then, this is now.

Sometimes the best things happen when you’re least expecting them. My most exciting least expected moment (in a while) was over dinner with some author friends and came about after a chance comment from me when I was congratulating my clever friend Cathryn Hein on being a finalist in the annual prestigious ARRA awards. ARRA stands for Australian Romance Readers Association and like the Oscars, it’s a very sparkly feather to have in one’s cap to make the final cut. It speaks volumes for your book as it’s voted upon by readers. Cathryn’s nominations was for her Tule published novel, Serenity’s Song, in the category romance section – and it’s a fabulous story!

As an aside, I was incredibly honoured to have my novel Dead Actually win the paranormal category of the ARRAs back in 2013, so I know how exciting it is.

Oops! As usual, I’ve wandered off track – so without boring you, let me summarise: Cathryn’s return comment opened my eyes to a new possibility and before I knew it, the editors at Tule Publishing had read the first Rosie Hart novel and were offering a four book contract. Jane Porter and her amazing crew loved the series as much as I do and voila – Rosie has finally found a proper home and a place she truly belongs.  Not only that, but she’s been made feel really special. She has brand new outfits (covers) to parade around in and her series even has a new name. She’s definitely been pimped and she’s loving it! ☺

So: Let me proudly announce The Hart of Texas Mysteries.

Book One, ‘A Bittersweet Murder’ whose cover I can finally reveal, here right now, will be released in March 2022. Even better – A Bittersweet Murder (formerly known as Chocolate & Old Lace) is up for preorder (yay!) here.

It’s available from all the usual suspects and if you missed it first time around, please grab a copy and let me know what you think!

And mark your diaries!
Book 2: Preserving the Evidence – available May 2022
Book 3: Candy Coated Conspiracy – available July 2022
Book4: Murder Below the Mistletoe – available Oct 2022 – right in time for your Christmas reads!

Watch out for my upcoming newsletters. Especially the Christmas one that will deliver my gift to you all! Until we talk again soon, thank you all for hanging in there. Huge hugs and happy reading – whatever it is!
